From Adversarial Relationships to Cooperation: The Lesson from LaRouche's SDI, Presented by Ronald Reagan 38 Years Ago

The threats coming from TransAtlantic Circles of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) against Russia and China today reflect a bankruptcy in their strategic vision, which matches the bankruptcy of their global financial system.  On March 23, 1983, Reagan announced to the world that he was committed to a process of peace with the USSR, based on sharing anti-missile technologies based on new physical principles, a strategy developed by Lyndon LaRouche to end the threat inherent in Kissinger's Mutual and Assured Destruction (MAD) doctrine.  The USSR's rejection of Reagan's offer foredoomed their empire, which LaRouche forecast would collapse within five years!  Instead of repeating that folly today, which could end in a war of MAD, we have the possibility of "win-win" cooperation, were the West to embrace, and become part of China's Belt-and-Road Initiative, based on Lyn and Helga Zepp LaRouche's design for a World Landbridge.

Helga LaRouche’s Schiller Institute Conference Breaks Through

The Schiller Institute’s two-day international conference just concluded March 21 achieved a number of breakthroughs which no other organization is capable of having done, which are extraordinarily important in this crisis of pandemic, spreading hunger and military and social conflict.

Two were most obvious. High-ranking representatives of Russia and China gave important presentations on the second, “strategic” panel of the conference, on a weekend in which tensions among the three superpowers spiked up, with the Russian Ambassador recalled from Washington and the public confrontation U.S.-China meeting of top officials in Alaska. These representatives understand that the Schiller Institute’s activists in the United States and Europe who organized the meeting are a unique cultural and political force for peace and development. And on the third panel Sunday morning, a decorated U.S. Marine combat veteran, former Virginia State Senator and conservative Republican, Col. Richard Black (ret.), was bold and brave enough to denounce the war policies of the United States and NATO in Southwest Asia, especially Syria, and demand, “This has to stop!”

While Biden Admin Issues Threats, the Schiller Institute Offers Dialogue

Does Joe Biden really believe Vladimir Putin is a "killer" who has no soul? Do U.S. officials truly believe that an "Asian NATO" targeting China will reverse the collapse of the U.S.? The alternative to these dangerous fantasies and bluster was presented at the Schiller Institute conference March 20-1, which featured a true dialogue between official representatives of the governments of the U.S., China, Russia, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, officials and activists representing the medical profession and food producers, and journalists and scientists, who took up the challenge, under the direction of Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp LaRouche, to bring humanity to a New Paradigm based on serving the common interests of all nations.

Schiller Institute/ICLC International Conference — March 20 and 21

The Schiller Institute and ICLC is gathering leaders from the United States, Russia, China, Africa, Europe, and the Americas for a dialogue on how to meet the existential crisis facing mankind with the idea of “peace through development.” Lyndon LaRouche fostered this approach, with the idea of always “looking ahead to the next fifty years.” With that method, we can consider what is required to create the necessary revolution in human affairs to both meet these crises together as a human race, and to unleash the creative potential of mankind to create a world worthy of the dignity of man, now and in the future.

Two Months Into the New U.S. Administration: The World at a Crossroad

The relationship between the United States and China is the most important bilateral relationship in the world. Yet it cannot be understood purely in terms of those two nations, and it will not be decided solely by citizens of those two nations.

With notable exceptions, including some useful impulses by President Trump, the United States since World War II has increasingly come to resemble and to be controlled by the British Empire against which it fought a revolution over two hundred years ago. The nation of Lincoln, which had demonstrated to the world the power of its American System of economics and a commitment not to a ruling class but to the general welfare of its population, is being rotted out from a British-inspired cultural disease. The illness takes the form of financialization of the economy, degradation of culture, and an assault on the universal principles expressed in the greatest moments of the United States—both past and to come.

U.S. Military Pushes Anti-China Line, While Diplomats Downplay Talks

March 18, 2021-- In advance of a flurry of meetings between U.S. officials and leaders of Asian nations, including top foreign policy officials of China, Yahoo News published on March 10 on the balance of forces in the Indo-Pacific region.  U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote, the deputy chief of staff for strategy, integration and requirements, revealed that recent war games demonstrate that the balance of power is shifting, with China emerging as a serious threat to U.S. interests.  By 2018, he said, the "trend in our war games [with China] was not just that we were losing, but we were losing faster."

Did Biden Even Know What He Said?

The extreme danger of electing a president whom the entire world knew was suffering from senility, possibly the early stages of dementia, has now been proven, as President Joe Biden was guided by George Stephanopoulos of CNN on Wednesday to respond positively to the question, “Do you think Putin is a killer?” The reaction from Moscow was immediate. The Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov was recalled to Moscow, indefinitely, with a statement from the Embassy that “certain reckless statements of U.S. senior officials pose a threat of utter collapse to bilateral relations.” Konstantin Kosachev, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Federation Council, said: “Such remarks can not be tolerated under any circumstances,” and called for an immediate “explanation and apology.” He added that these “boorish remarks have killed off all expectations that the new U.S. administration will pursue a new policy towards Russia,” noting that this comes from the president of a country which “drops a bomb somewhere in the world every 12 minutes,” and has been responsible for more than 500,000 deaths in illegal wars since 2001.

A World in Dire Need of a New Paradigm

The world truly is at a Crossroad, which will be the subject of this weekend's online Schiller Institute conference.  While the U.S. is downplaying the prospects for an ongoing dialogue between the U.S. and China even before the meeting of foreign policy officials opens today, that the meeting is taking place provides an opening for future dialogue.  Put aside for a moment the threats and bluster about military confrontation -- who benefits from war -- The same Military Industrial Complex that is behind the Great Reset and the genocidal Green New Deal, and that is engaging in provocative actions in the Indo-Pacific region.
For the Schiller Institute, "Development is the new name for Peace," and China's Belt-and-Road Initiative offers the hope of a better life to hundreds of millions, especially if it proceeds with cooperation from the U.S.

A World of Geopolitical Clashes, or Peaceful Cooperation: You Decide!

The Schiller Institute conference scheduled for this weekend could not come at a more critical moment. As War Hawks in the West are ramping up their verbal assaults against Russia and China, and engaging in military exercises worldwide, what can be done to assure that these planned provocations can be reversed, and we can bring about peace instead? Leaders of government institutions and prominent individuals will participate in a two-day online conference, engaging in dialogue to offer ideas to reverse the drive for war and the imposition of a global banker’s dictatorship—the “Great Reset”—and to save millions of lives by defeating the pandemic and famine. This was stressed on this morning’s Daily Update by Harley Schlanger, on The LaRouche Organization’s website, making the point: “This is your opportunity to join in the mobilization to create a New Renaissance, to lift mankind out of the Empire’s death grip.”

Biden Moots Reprisals Vs. Russia, after U.S. Intelligence Community Report Released

Mainstream headlines over the past 24 hours screamed “Russia, Russia, Russia,” all over again: “U.S. Intelligence Report Says Russia Attempted to Interfere in 2020 Election” (CNN); “Putin Targeted People Close to Trump in Bid to Influence 2020 Election, U.S. Intelligence Says” (Washington Post); “Russia Tried to Help Trump Win 2020 Election” (EUobserver). The just-declassified “Intelligence Community Assessment of Foreign Threats to the 2020 U.S. Federal Elections” asserts that the “IC,” as they like to call themselves, has determined, with “high confidence,” that “Russian President Putin authorized, and a range of Russian government organizations conducted, influence operations aimed at denigrating President Biden’s candidacy and the Democratic Party, supporting former President Trump, undermining public confidence in the electoral process, and exacerbating sociopolitical divisions in the U.S.”
