“It’s one minute to midnight” warned Boris Johnson, adding that we must “consign coal to history.” “The existential threat to human existence as we know it,” echoed Joe Biden. “What we need is a comprehensive transformation of the way we live, work and do business,” whined the lame duck Angela Merkel. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres accused countries of “treating nature like a toilet” as he warned of a looming “climate catastrophe.”

With only days until thousands of people are scheduled to descend on Glasgow, Scotland, for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26, a sense of panic has set in among the British Royals that this well-planned conclave, in which the world was supposed to sign on to a self-inflicted suicide pact for the human race, is facing a potential massive failure. Prince Charles, who, together with the bankers in the City of London, has been the driving force of the Climate Change conferences since the 1990s, complained bitterly to the BBC this week that many countries “just talk, and the problem is to get action on the ground, which I’ve been trying to do for forty years.” His son Prince William, being groomed by Charles to take his place as the chief green genocide merchant, told BBC that we should stop wasting time and money on space travel, rather: “We need some of the world’s greatest brains and minds fixed on trying to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and live.” William will be introducing his “Earthshot Prize,” described as “a Nobel-like prize for the environment,” to five recipients at COP26.

It would be possible to report on a number of diplomatic steps underway by the Biden Administration, and conclude that there is an American shift toward negotiating peace and development. But then, it were equally possible to report on an equally significant number of steps being taken by the same Administration which would lead to the opposite conclusion—that preparations for war are underway, and close to a point of no return.

The report that the U.S. Office of Special Counsel has demanded that the Department of Justice investigate a complaint filed by whistleblowers from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in Haiti, that the DEA had allowed a shipment of heroin and cocaine to pass through “unimpeded” in 2015 and “has been looking the other way, [and] for over a decade Port au Prince has been a safe port to ship heroin and cocaine without interference through Haiti, generally destined for Florida in the United States,” shines a new light on the role of “Dope, Inc.” (as it was called by Executive Intelligence Review in their best-selling series of books by that name) in the destitution of the Island nation of 11 million people. Following the devastating earthquake of Jan. 12, 2010, which killed as many as 250,000 people, virtually nothing was done to restore the massive damage in Haiti, let alone create a modern water and sanitation system or a modern health system. Cholera, largely eliminated in Haiti and elsewhere at that time, spread across the island, killing thousands.

In reponse to the announcement that Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States are forming a new alliance called the AUKUS scarcely two weeks after withdrawing from Afghanistan after twenty years of disaster, Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche said that this new alliance is a mindless extension of the policy of endless war. Instead of abandoning Afghanistan to the hell that twenty years of military intervention followed by a shutoff of international funds have created and leaping into a new and totally unnecessary escalation of conflict with China, the United States and other NATO countries must immediately act to do good, to repair the damage of Afghanistan and the other unjust military adventures of the past two decades, through a policy of real development.

A two-day summit meeting of the heads of state and government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization begins on Sept. 16 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, which will focus on how to stabilize and economically reconstruct Afghanistan. The nations of Asia are generally committed to working with China’s Belt and Road Initiative to bring infrastructure and related development to Afghanistan, and to make sure that international terrorism and the drug trade don’t carry the day.

On September 11, the FBI released a declassified (but redacted) report from April 2016, which provides additional conclusive information of the involvement of agents of the Saudi Arabian government supporting the 9/11 hijackers. And this is only the first of a series of declassifications set to occur over the coming six months under Biden's Sept. 3 executive order.

The full story of Saudi Arabian involvement in 9/11 will become increasingly clear, but this involvement itself poses larger questions.
