The Battle of Jerusalem: Another Strategic Flash-Point Is Exploding

As Greater Israel fanatics move to expel Palestinians from their East Jerusalem neighborhood, the predictable response has occurred: Hamas militants fire rockets into Israeli cities, while Israeli jets bomb Palestinian homes in Gaza. Despite calls for de-escalation, fighting continues. As this flash-point has been ignited, Cold Warriors with backgrounds at the NSC and RAND Corporation promote "Decisive Nuclear Retaliation" against Russia -- which they describe as our eternal enemy -- in a podcast of the Military Industrial Complex's Atlantic Council. Has nuclear war become "thinkable"?

Who to believe? You report Netanyahu wants to expand? But, in 1875 the Jewish community purchased this land from Arabs, and the sale was registered in Ottoman records. The land was then registered with the British Mandatory government in 1946 and 1948. In 1956 this land was leased to 28 Palestinian families but the ownership wasn’t transferred. The Jewish owners didn’t evict the Palestinian families. In 1982 they granted the families living there “protected tenant” status and said they could live there as long as they paid rent. No rent has been paid. It currently is being litigated and on May 10th there was was suppose to be a decision? This information doesn’t mesh with Netanyahu wanting to expand, nor him being in court on corruption charges. And it is way too coincidental considering how the current US regime wants to squash anything and everything relating to Trump…i.e. the negotiating of the Abraham Accords that was nominated for Nobel Peace awards. Who to believe?
