The Lunacy of G7-NATO Leaders on Display in this Week's Summits

Instead of engaging the leaders of Russia and China in a serious deliberation on what to do about the multiplicity of crises affecting the world, the G7 and NATO leaders put forward a series of unserious, if not downright lunatic proposals, during their confabs over the last days. Their proposals for global infrastructure and battling the COVID pandemic were not serious, but instead would continue the policies which have left infrastructure -- including that of public health -- incapable of serving the needs of nations and their people. As for their strategic communique, it is more of the same false accusations against Russia and China, to justify military buildup and geopolitical confrontation. Where are the statesmen and women, when they're needed? They will be at the Schiller Institute online conference, June 26-7. Join us!

Here is my 2:35pm comment to Koffler’s The Hill article of 1pm – President Biden is set to meet with Putin on 6/16. He must cut to the quick: by prioritizing the construction of a New Bretton Woods credit architecture, to be worked out by the two of them plus other P-5 leaders. This would subsume a global Glass-Steagall Act – which would freeze + firewall out $2 thousand trillion of gambled-up claims, and allow credit generating commercial banks to fund the building of Health Care infrastructure in all nations. / Long term, low interest credit would fund the building of many more nuclear plants, which would provide powerful energy supplies. With a NASA modeled science driver approach – Fusion Power could be invented and commercialized, and thus 7 terra watts of energy could play a major role in the modernization of all nations { An intent of the Atlantic Charter of 1945. }. / Meanwhile, great infrastructure projects could be constructed here & abroad. We could bring massive amounts of water from western Canada into the SW. Such constructions would employ millions, while the water would supply many new farms. 100 nuplex cities could be built – all interconnected by MagLev high speed rail. So with cooperation the norm in the Rules Based Order – all peoples would become part of a New Bretton Woods credit architecture !
