Pandemic Going Out of Control—Problem Is Ideology

Unless we shift course, we are heading into the catastrophe of the pandemic going out of control, amidst famine, economic breakdown, and potential war. The world has passed the 100 million cases count of COVID-19, with over 2 million dead—statistics which are vastly understated. The problem isn’t this particular, nasty virus, or others lurking in wait, it’s the ideology preventing us from acting—those who are blind to it, and those who tolerate it. There are various expressions.

Mobilization Coming: Resist and Defeat the Green New Deal

PDF

EIR and the Schiller Institute will soon begin circulating a powerful exposé of the financial oligarchs’ so-called “Green Deal” scheme and the counter-strategy of financing high-technology development to defeat it. This report will build on the Special Report we published last May, “The LaRouche Plan To Reopen the U.S. Economy: The World Needs 1.5 Billion New Productive Jobs,” which is still the only full outline for really reversing the terrible economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic and defending against the next one.

Creating a Global Health System To Break Out of Monetarism, Greenism, and Insanity

The vaccination programs moving forward around the globe point both to the tremendous success that can be achieved through a crash effort and to the enormous global deficit in health infrastructure. Current vaccine production schedules, although impressive, will still require years to fully inoculate everyone in the world who wants to be vaccinated. Patent issues may hold back production. Overburdened or overwhelmed health systems in various nations (and including certain areas within the United States) require upgrading—capital investments in facilities themselves, infrastructure upgrades to service the facilities, and an expansion of education and training to ensure a sufficient number of health professionals. Systems of universal health coverage are needed.

But this is only a portion of the recovery and growth measures that are required worldwide to put the human species on a trajectory consistent with the unbounded potential for creativity, the most central core of human identity.

A World of Cooperating Sovereign Nations, or a Global Banker's Dictatorship?

With the inauguration of Joe Biden, the power of the U.S. Presidency has been put at the service of those demanding a centralization of power in the hands of private central bankers, to push through a genocidal "Green New Deal."

The Biden Inauguration: Hollow Ring To Plea For Unity From Those Who Divide

Jan. 22, 2021 — Surrounded by tens of thousands of troops and a sparse crowd, the inauguration of Joe Biden as President of the United States had little in common with the usual celebratory mood which surrounds the peaceful transfer of power in the American republic. It bore instead a distinct resemblance to the installation of a regime which seized power in a coup in a banana republic — which, in fact, is what happened! With a majority of Republicans convinced that the election was stolen from Donald Trump, and angry that neither courts nor legislatures seriously investigated the charges of fraud, many view Biden as an “illegitimate” president. The Inauguration occurred two weeks after a deadly riot overwhelmed security forces at the U.S. Capitol, on January 6, which disrupted efforts by Trump supporters in the Congress who were engaged in a fully legal, Constitutional process of challenging the certification of Electors for Biden, due to evidence of voting irregularities. It occurred one week after the House of Representatives impeached President Trump for a second time, accusing him of inciting the “insurrection” which led to the storming of the Capitol, in a rush to judgement in a highly charged environment.

Perhaps given the turmoil and uncertainty caused by these events, it is not surprising that President Biden emphasized a call for “unity … unity for a divided nation” in his inaugural address. Yet this call had a decidedly hollow ring to it, as Biden and his supporters, instead of promoting policies which can foster unity, are moving to criminalize any opposition to what he was installed to do as President, going so far as to label Trump supporters as “racists” and even “terrorists.” This is hardly a language which would facilitate unity and reconciliation!

Would You Have Been Optimistic in the Middle of the 14th-Century Black Death?

With the benefit of hindsight—which of course is always 20:20, as the saying goes—you would have been optimistic. Or at least you should have been. Because out of the 14th-century Black Death, which nearly wiped out Western civilization altogether, came the 15th-century’s Golden Renaissance and the greatest flourishing of classical culture and science yet produced by Man. Don’t you wonder how that came about?

Today we are in the throes of a pandemic which is sweeping the planet and will get worse in the short term. New strains of the coronavirus have begun to mutate; most national health systems are not equal to the task of keeping up with the disease and its victims; the COVID-19 policies of nearly every government in Europe and the Americas are in shambles because of their submission to Wall Street and the City of London austerity policies; and perhaps worst of all, there is growing irrationality in large parts of the population, who reject science in favor of organized lunacy such as the “Q” fraud and related games.

The Way Out of the Inferno: How To Think In a Time of Crisis, Part 3

Join us on Saturday LIVE at 2pm EST. This week's meeting will include Harley Schlanger, Jason Ross and Diane Sare and will address how, in the aftermath of the “banality of evil” that was the January 20 Biden Presidential Inauguration, should one think, in order to address what must now be done in the United States? Statesman Lyndon LaRouche, in his Politics As Art, pointed out “that President Lincoln had won a terrible, justified, and absolutely necessary war on behalf of all humanity, by aid of lessons adduced from Shakespeare, which he had taught, as directives, to the members of his Cabinet. No one, friend or foe, laughed at the awesome result of that instruction.”

IT IS THE BRITISH! Prince Charles, Atlantic Council Push “Earth Charter”

At an event sponsored by the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Forum today, rabid environmentalist crackpot Prince Charles presented his newly-launched initiative, the “Terra Carta” (or Earth Charter) and its “Sustainable Market Initiative” to “bring CEOs together”, to “drive a just energy transition.” Introduced in gushing terms by the head of the Atlantic Council, Frederick Kempe, Charles spoke of the “interconnection” between human health (COVID) and “planetary health.” We must move beyond good intentions, he said, to move to a “practical effort to mobilize financial resources.” He said, “I have been challenging leaders of nations and CEOs of corporations” to take action. To do better, we must bring economic value into sustainable viability. After droning through the usual clichés about corporate responsibility for a structural energy transition, he concluded by saying, “A sustainable future is the growth story of our times.”
